A note from us…
This year, we learned to lean into the multi-faceted, talented and caring community that makes Force of Nature what it is. We’re often encouraged to seek new partnerships and form fresh strategies for fundraising, and while this is important, it’s easy to overlook the village you’re a part of and the amazing work that already exists. So, we chose to be a villager - and cultivate what we already had.
We worked with over 15 partners on events, training, and research; collaborated with community members to translate our 'How to Host a Climate Café' guide into five new languages; and watched five community members facilitate our flagship ‘Becoming a Force of Nature' programme, which we ran twice this year.
Collaborating allowed us to be present at more events, expand our reach, and learn deeply from the minds of others. We’re grateful to be surrounded by people who want to make the world a better place.
To our community members (all 1800+ of you) and partners, we’re grateful for your support and guidance. This year has been testing to say the least, and sometimes it hasn’t felt like it will get better. But when we look to you, we feel hope.
Thank you.
So, what impact did we have in 2025?
-
In 2025, 1198 young people joined our community.
We partnered with external facilitators to deliver 13 community calls for 308 people, from fundraising to conservation, environmental justice to climate careers, breath workshops to yoga.
-
For the first time, we ran our flagship climate emotions programme - Becoming a Force of Nature (BaFoN) - twice!
1364 young people applied, nearly 900 participated and 308 went on to graduate from the full programme. That’s a 67% increase from last year.
We hired 5 youth facilitators from our community to help deliver the programme - Jake, Daniela, Julia, Anaïs and Camille.
“It wasn’t just about learning tools to take action, but about building emotional resilience and community support to sustain that action over time.” - Elpida, 27, Greece, Spring 2025 cohort. -
302 people applied to our training pathways after completing the Becoming a Force of Nature training (some people joined multiple pathways!).
183 applied for speaker training
182 applied for consultant training
201 applied for facilitator training
So far, over 50 people graduated from the first round of trainings and the second round is still in progress.
In November 2025, 8 people who graduated our facilitator training pathway took part in extra facilitator mentorship to develop their active listening, space holding and facilitation skills. The 3-month mentorship scheme consists of monthly meetings to learn form peers, deepen skillsets, ask questions and participate in role play.

We’ve dreamt of making our work more accessible by translating it into some of the most commonly spoken languages of our community. This year, our dream became reality.
Our How to Host a Climate Café guide is now available in Arabic, Swahili, French, Spanish, Portuguese (and English).
We’re lucky to have a beautifully diverse community who speak many languages. So we collaborated with them and paid for their time to translate our work.
Thank you to Anaïs Magliocco, Daniela Quijano, Mahmoud Hazem, Adonijah Anindo, Francisca Costa, Farrah Moussa, Alejandra Cala, and all our proofreaders. It wouldn’t be possible without you! -
This year, we bid farewell to three team members who have been an essential part of Force of Nature.
We are deeply grateful to Alejandra Cala, a talented Graphic Designer. As well as, Phoebe Hanson and Sacha Wright, two of our founding members, who have made Force of Nature what it is today. Thank you!

Inspired by principles of sociocracy and the ‘teal organisation’ framework, we embarked on an evolution towards a distributed leadership model. We transitioned away from traditional hierarchies and now operate through collaborative circles. Our new structure allows us to quickly respond to emerging needs while fostering greater autonomy and shared ownership across the organisation.
We are also excited to share that Force of Nature has been preparing for the requirements for charitable status under UK regulations. As part of this, we have established a Board of Trustees and will soon be recruiting new members for our Youth Advisory Board.
Establishing our new status and governance will allow us to access more funding, build credibility and accountability, and create a governance structure that ensures longevity while supporting our mission.

Our finances
We’re so grateful to our funders and partners who shared their belief in our work and contributed funds and resources in 2025.
During the year, our income was just under £437,000*. Our total costs for the year were around £446,000*.
We have a fully remote team, so the majority of our costs are the salaries of eight full-time and one part-time core team members. As a result, a significant proportion of our income is spent on the development and delivery of our programmes for young people, as well as the messaging and outreach we develop to reach them.
A huge thank you to all of our funders in 2025:
Big Change - Big Education Challenge
Pinterest Impact Lab
The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation
Lululemon
The Savitri Waney Charitable Trust
ICONIQ Impact
A group of generous donors who contributed to our climate café Crowdfunder, including Hogan Lovells and Sam Gomersall.
*unaudited income and expenditure.
Tatenda Andrew Mabhande, Zimbabwe. Spring 2025 BaFoN programme.
“…Becoming a Force of Nature is not just another climate programme, it is a transformational journey. It helps you reconnect with your purpose, build emotional resilience, and understand the inner foundations needed for sustained climate action.”
